The mountaineer cottage is located in the central part of Galicica National Park, at the elevation of 1,470 meters, at a place called Asan Dzura. It is accessible from two sides: from Ohrid, via the village of Velestovo, along an 18.6 km long road in the mountain, 4.1 km of which is asphalt and 14.5 dirt road.    

From Prespa side, the total length of the road is 9.1 km, of which 3.7 is asphalt road and 5.4 is dirt road. This mountaineer cottage allows for the visitors to escape from the urban daily routine and enjoy the immaculate nature of the National Park.  

The mountaineer cottage has 20 beds in 4 fully furnished rooms, a kitchen, a living room, mini restaurant for 20 persons and a summer terrace. In the future, this cottage will be used for the needs of the Park staff, scientific workers conducting research for the needs of the Park, but it will also be made available for commercial purposed which will mean improved tourist supply. 

Nearby the cottage is the cave of Samatska Dupka, the puddle  of Simonceska Lokva, the peak of Tomoros and many other valuable sites to provide the visitors with unforgettable memories.  

The cottage was opened in the presence of a great number of students from the regular high school and the economic vocational school, who participated on the Saturday's 22 km long traditional march in Galicica, from the place called Dva Javori to Ohrid.
