Public Institution National Park Galicica has a
lawful obligation to take care of the natural values
in the park, and to assure it remains a place of
high value known for its exceptional beauty and
biological diversity. Place with special qualities,
the original reasons for which it was declared a
National Park. This mission can be accomplished with
a complete support of the staff, as well as wider
community, and especially the local population.
This mission can only be accomplished, if the
Institution, local population, and wider community
all share the same vision for the future of our
Park.
Creation of common vision is a process that should
include and observe the views, opinions, and
expectations of different groups in community,
institutions and business. It is expected that some
of these opinions and ideas will differ, and in some
cases will contradict each other. The goal of the
process of creating a common vision, is to make
compromises along the way and to reach a common
answer. Only a widely accepted vision for the future
of the Park will make strong foundation for further
planning, creating concrete goals and reaching the
same through diverse provisions and activities.
On 10 November 2008 the common vision was conceived.
The staff of PINP Galicica held a workshop where key
words, slogans and statements of their choice were
selected to be included in the concept of the common
vision. On the bases of the fruits of this workshop,
a draft vision will be prepared, with a possibility
of further additions and amendments, in line with
future propositions offered by all involved in the
process. Input to the vision can be provided by
local communities, local and federal institutions,
non government organizations, and other social
groups.
