Stenje is the largest village in the Galicica National Park on the Resen side.  It is located on the shore of Lake Prespa, near the national border with Albania, about 20 km away from Resen.  There are 438 residents of all age groups in the village.

The children are attending primary school in the village.  The activities and work undertaken by the residents of the village is mostly connected with Resen.  With its location, the village has potential for development of tourism.  There are tourist accommodations on offer during the summer period.
