There is an asphalt road leading to the village of Velestovo located 4-5 km from Ohrid.  There is an exceptional view from the village to the lake and to the town of Ohrid.  This is a main reason for the demand of land lots and building of modern holiday homes.

In the last twenty years, many residents have sold part of their land to people attracted by the beauty of the village.  New houses built there, are used mostly over the summer period.  There are about 7 – 8 families permanent to the village.  According to the 2002 census, the village has 45 residents all of them older than 15.  All the others have move to the village of Raca and Ohrid in search of better living conditions.

The residents who stayed on permanent bases in the village are mostly retired, and few are breeding sheep.  They create some income by producing and selling cheese.
